Additionally, you really shouldn't be forwarding full S/MIME messages. This is now the default in 4.2 (the default was to forward attachments only in pre 4.2). And I am thinking any deficiencies in displaying these multiple embedded s/mime messages is really nothing more than a duplicate request for the known limitations of the current MIME code.

2.) i tried these kind of emails with the CVS-Snapshot form 2007-07-24 and got the following Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /usr/share/php/Horde/MIME/Part.php on line 1247 This should be fixed by revision 1.209 to framework/MIME/MIME/Part.php

Here are some aditional Infos. 1.) the messages composed with IMP are correct viewable with other Thunderbird, but messages reated with thunderbird in the same way have also broken attachments in IMP. So this seems to be an problem viewing and analyzing the mimparts. I tried to debug this further but got stuck in the many mime-functions called for viewing the email ;-( 2.) i tried these kind of emails with the CVS-Snapshot form 2007-07-24 and got the following Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /usr/share/php/Horde/MIME/Part.php on line 1247 The Attachments contains 2 examples of such broken emails

If I forward a message with attachments and sign the message with SMIME the attached mail gets broken. The it is show that there are attachments but the size of the attachments is 0 It makes no difference if i attatch the eMail as inline or as attachment Forwarding eMails with attachment without signing them or Forwarding eMails without attachments and signing them works fine This Bug might somehow linked with ~~#3699~~ but i hadn't any problems with SMIME and attachments if i compose the eMail
