FWIW the patches are now at

They still would need to be cleaned up further to get integrated updstream.

Can you please list here the patches you're referring to? Even better 
would be coordinating with the folks who've written the patches to 
have them submit them directly...

Hello there,

As some of us know how trendy and handy is to have a  SSO system , it 
wold be nice that new Horde/IMP versions include CAS as native 
authentication method.
We have to thank all that guys that contributed on make available 
patches and documentation on how to enable CAS authentication, but 
could be really nice that this option came natively from Horde.
