As Jan described, this is rendered exactly the way it is supposed to
in IMP.  The "----- Original Message ----- " line has a space at the
end; per RFC 2646 [4.2] this is a flowed line.  As such, it may be
combined with all following lines until a fixed line is reached.  This
is how we choose to display, which is correct RFC behavior.

I can reproduce this, but it might be a buggy Outlook Express. It's a
flowed message and there is a space after the --- Original Message ---
line.

Isn't that the syntax for a line continuation, Michael?

Are you sure the text is not wrapped in the original message (i.e.
using 'View Message Source')?

I recently updated my horde/imp head installation and found that text
in email messages after character --- is not wraped. Attached
screenshot is typical outlook reply message.
