Downgrade PHP, upgrade the Mail PEAR package, or configure PHP to not
show notices.

These lines don't exist in HEAD such that they could cause these error
messages. Please specify the correct version.

There are unwanted PHP warnings and notices when using the latest
stable version of PHP.

For example, after a user composes a message and submits then this
warning and notice show up in the following page :

Warning: fread(): Length parameter must be greater than 0. in
/home/httpd/vhosts/webmail/imp/lib/Compose.php on line 671

Notice: Only variables should be assigned by reference in
/home/httpd/vhosts/webmail/imp/lib/Compose.php on line 129
