You can set the sidebar width in your preferences.

Not really sure what my version of Horde is. It's part of CPanel. Where to check? This is related to http://bugs.horde.org/ticket/?id=1251 somewhat. The sidebar assumes a very narrow width, only 150 pixels (with about 16 of that taken up by scrollbar). There is no horizontal scrollbar in Gecko browsers like FFx.
