Stupid errors in my instructions - have revised them so if people follow them literally, they will get errors - the file attached here should be correct Craig

First implementation of a default_user methodology to distribute preferences for users via the already configured settings of a HORDE 'admin' via 'hooks.php' I don't know for sure that this is the right place for this - I don't expect this to become part of the code base in it's current form but is offered as a demonstration of potential for a distributed model of preferences
