I submitted this to the IMP mailing list:

http://marc.info/?l=imp&m=145764389214110&w=2

This is working for me now, but I had to make the change in the
imp/lib/Script/Package/Editor.php file to do it. So now the feature
request becomes: could this be added as the default setting in the
next IMP 6.2 point release, maybe 6.2.13? Alternatively, could this be
made configurable?

Thanks! But this is still a feature request, as the request has become
could disableNativeSpellChecker be set to false by default in the
config.js file?

It's disabled by default by ckeditor's configuration. You can enable
it again through the disableNativeSpellChecker configuration setting
in Horde_Editor's config.js file.

This is a support question, not an enhancement request.

The browsers spell checking doesn't work in the compose window when
using the HTML editor. It seems to only work when not composing in HTML.

Use the browser's spell checking for that.

Our customers would prefer their emails to be spell-checked live as
they type, instead of having to manually check before sending. Could a
spell-checking option be added for live-checking, using either or both
JavaScript and/or HTML5?
