This is by design, the dates need to be parseable.

Hi,

Thanks for the great application!

1) I noticed when editing events in the calendar the dates From and To 
are not displayed in the format set in the global preferences 
(preferences YYYY-MM-DD,  displayed MM/DD/YYYY). See both screenshots.

2) The date displayed on top of the calendar starts off in the good 
format, but later is displayed in the wrong format without any action 
performed in the browser.  (see both screenshots, look at the 
difference in the background left of the event edit window)  Oldest 
screenshot shows 2015-03-26, younger screenshot shows 03/26/2015 in 
that same place.

(the date shown in the left-top under 'horde 5.2.4' is shown in 
correct format on both screenshots, I have never seen this wrong)
