I send PDF files all the time, and I cannot confirm this. Me too. 99% sure this is because the browser is sending the wrong MIME type information. And in case this wasn't clear, this is NOT a Horde/IMP issue. This is a browser issue.

It's much more likely that your browser is sending an incorrect (non-binary) mime type when uploading the pdf attachment. We also had Rackspace and Parallels test this on different browsers. All three of us concluded that it is likely a bug in Horde. Could you test this to confirm?
