Actually, basic view is less correct.

What if the local admin wanted the translation of a special mailbox -
such as Spam - to be (translated) "Spam (Sep 1 - Sep 30)".

In basic view, submailboxes thus all appear under this name.  Which is
*very* confusing.

Basic mode displays the tree differently because it doesn't segregate
special mailboxes.  That doesn't mean dynamic mode is wrong.  The
views are different/inconsistent, but neither is incorrect.

One of the reasons basic view is being removed in the future.

Again, this is easily fixed locally by changing the default mailbox
name of the Sent mailbox to whatever translated value you want instead
of relying on IMP for translation.  (Not to mention this will also
work across all mail agents also).

because? in basic mode it the names are correctly translated, now
should be so in Dynamic mode. Many users tell us confusion on this
fact, sin

thanks
the problem is the translation of the folders, in the special folrder
the "Sent Items" is correctly translate in italian "Posta Inviata"
but
in the bottom panel instead this not translate ....
Because that's the name of the mailbox on your server.  Translation
of mailbox names occurs in IMP, and is only done for special
mailboxes.

Thinking about this further, the current behavior is the correct behavior.

Imagine you have a mailbox "Spam" with a submailbox "Spam.old".
"Spam" is registered as the special spam mailbox.  Through local
configuration, the Spam special mailbox is displayed as "Current Spam
Mailbox".

Displaying "Current Spam Mailbox" as the parent in the lower folder
pane would be incorrect.  Down there, "Spam.old" should be displayed
as a mailbox "old" living under its (actual) parent mailbox "Spam".

If you want a more descriptive name for this container, you should
rename your spam mailbox to this label.

Trash is correctly not translated, as it is not a Special Folder in
your account.

I will look at the other issue - the "dummy" containers of special
mailboxes being mislabeled with the actual mailbox name, instead of
the special mailbox label.
