I agree with you, but perhaps it's possible to add a small white or grey shadow around the cross?

Anyone else have thoughts on this one? I can see the point, but the smaller (smooshed) trashcan doesn't look so good, and I think the small delete and edit icons definitely have their places and look good, aside from color conflicts.

Agreed, but a multi-colored icon like a trash can doesn't get lost in a gray screen like a red X does in a red screen. Especially if you happen to randomly choose the same hue of red for your category as the delete-small.png icon. I couldn't have picked a color that matched more closely if I had tried :)

My opinion is that you can find any color that will make any icon hard to read...

Minor issue but makes useability difficult, especially in Kronolith. My main category color is red. The delete-small.png icon has been changed from a trash can and is now a red X and is very difficult to see (themes/graphics/delete-small.png) on a calendar display page. Can delete-small.png be reverted to the trash can again? I see from the CVS changelog that it was changed because it doesn't match the delete.png icon anymore but not being able to see it is a problem too.
