the problem

It *is* the same bug that slashdot triggers, and it's ***entirely a
firefox problem***. This is probably a duplicate of another bug report
here, too.

inline side menu is wider than the menu itself. Can anyone confirm?
(PS: The short term work around is to use the Mozilla side bar option,
but that's not something I can tell my customers)

mailbox view in Firefox will occasionally cause the message display to
be rendered incorrectly. Each row in the table is only as long as its
content, and does not fill the entire page width. It doesn't happen
every time. It can be fixed until the next reload by doing
Ctrl-<plus> and Ctrl-<minus> to change the size of the text display.
It seems very similar to the Firefox rendering bug that Slashdot has.
