I will try the  altnamespace  option, but as solution, I will use a
folder below my

INBOX/ structure.

Thank you for the reasonable answer  -  for me this bug is not longer a bug

The problem is that we save all folder names without the namespace and
add the namespace when we use them. The rationale behind that is that
administrators can change the namespace without all users loosing
their folder settings.

The backdraw is that if using namespaces, you can't store folder names
in your preferences that are outside of this namespace. That is, you
can store them, but when retrieving them, the namespace is prepended.

The only solution I see is to leave the namespace empty in the
config/servers.php configuration. You can use the altnamespace setting
in Cyrus to avoid INBOX. appearing in front of all folder names in the
UI.

it is a shared folder in this way, that it is created on the same
level as user/ (or user.) - it is not a user's folder - in cyradm it
looks like :

SPAM (\HasNoChildren)

VIRUS (\HasNoChildren)

user/test (\HasChildren)

...

I hope this helps

Is this a shared folder of a regular user (user.name.folder) or a
global shared folder from a different hierarchy (#shared.folder)?

in the imp-prefs I am able to select a shared folder as Spam-folder but this

setting will not be saved - if I select a folder below my INBOX then
everything

works as it should.

The folder is in the drop-down lists and in the folder view and I can
move mails

there, view the content - the permissions are OK.
