I'm inclined to reject this; most of the 3-pane readers I've seen don't even do this, and it'd clutter things considerably.

I'd like to be able to see in the sidebar next to each folder name the number of all messages in that folder. Till now, it is possible to see only unread messages (~~Enhancement 813~~). Thanks!
