Are you trying to avoid the gethostbyaddr() calls or something else?

Then disable the geoip country lookup by not specifying the location of the geoip DB file in horde's config.

This is a very minor patch that adds an option to disable country flags in IMP. The patch modifies conf.xml et al. to include a new configuration variable of type boolean that enables or disables the showing of country flags next to the sender address in the message window.
