My main concern was the possible corner case bugs that are introduced
by null entires.
Like message filtering and 'expand names' in compose (which I havent
checked).

completely accessible and useable, so I don't really see a need to
forbid them.
I was thinking of adding some lame javascript as a patch unless its
not warranted.
