Now I could edit the page; the message of my 1st attempt has not
re-appeared. Thanks.

It's a wiki, why don't you edit the pages yourself?
How can I do this without getting the error message reported earlier?
Which error message?
As said earlier, I was adviced to file an enhancement request rather
than editing the Wiki page. Meanwhile, I cannot even reproduce that
message, because there is no "Edit" button any more, on that page.

Right of the reload icon, there is a padlock icon, without any
explanation.  In the HTML source, I read: <img
src="/themes/graphics/locked.png" alt="Gesperrt" title="" />

So, I can definitely not edit that page
<http://wiki.horde.org/FAQ/Admin/Config> myself. Hence, this
enhancement request.

A  patch to horde-build-website-docs.sh would be appreciated.

Where can I get hold of that source?

I did this, in the 1st place. However, I got a message telling me to
file an enhancement request.
A  patch to horde-build-website-docs.sh would be appreciated.

It's a wiki, why don't you edit the pages yourself? Beside that, I
don't think it's a good idea to link to the cvs file, for the reasons
you mentioned. And every translator has the Horde distribution
available anyway, so he can look into horde/po/README easily.

The goal is indeed to get po/README into the docs/ section on
www.horde.org, this is one of the reasons why it's reST formatted. A
patch to horde-build-website-docs.sh would be appreciated.

Please ignore the "" (i. e. the UTF-8 BOM) in the patch provided.

I'll attach a corrected patch.

The How-To for amending an existent translation is documented in
po/README, hence there should be easy access from this FAQ to that
documentation.

The attached patch links to that file in the CVS. As that file is
UTF-8-encoded and contains several tables, it would be much better to
have a HTML version of it in the <http://www.horde.org/horde/docs/
series.

Please consider also, whether
<http://wiki.horde.org/FAQ/Admin/Config#toc6> should also link to
po/README and to the translation guide.
