also probably misinterpreting the drop down; you are not choosing a
single calendar, but choosing which of all of your calendars to
display at the same time. So choosing something on that list does not
display just that calendar, it toggles whether or not that calendar is
displayed.
HEAD uses checkboxes in a list for this which should be much clearer.

on. When you select the calendar you want to view from the pull down
the wrong calendar displays. I know this because I created 3 events
and assigned them each to one of the calendars. When I select the
calendar a random calendar displays, with random information. For
example sometimes it shows two calendars and other times it shows the
wrong calendar.
