Works fine for me as well. Also Whups uses basically the same code, and you can see it works here in this ticket.

If you compose a message that contains an URL with the "@" character, IMP brokens it. Example: you write http://www.flickr.com/photos/86539778@N00/sets/72157600187886285/ and IMP converts it to something like: 86539778@N00/sets/72157600187886285/" target="_blank">http://www.flickr.com/photos/86539778@N00/sets/72157600187886285/
