Assigning galleries to categories has already been implemented.

Agreed, using Horde's CategoryManager would be nice.

But I don't think this should be coupled with permissions. If you need
permissions, I'd suggest to create the categories as parent galleries
instead and assign permissions as appropriate.

The copyright text can already be added with the watermark feature.

To add a category system, so we can list galleries by their content
(sub)categories. For example sports, arts.... Like on
http://www.webshots.com/g/  (the left categories menu)

It will be nice that categories are connected to the prmisssion system
so we can assign right which user/group can add galleries in this
category.

And another thing would be nice. A method to add copyright text. For
example all images can be in the left low corner marked with username
and installatn name.

Allow Ansel galleries to be categorised by selecting category when
uploading/editing it. The categories should be child of the parent
"ansel" API permisson.
