You can fix this by either downgrading PHP to a version before 4.4.0 or 5.1.(maybe .4? don't remember exactly), or upgrading PEAR::Log to a newer version.

When I try to send a message to an non-existant user of my mail domain I get this warning: Notice: Only variable references should be returned by reference in /usr/share/php/Log.php on line 92 before the message of the wrong address.
