When sending mail, recipient check is not correct for "to" header like this :
to: someone@
so with the username, the "@", but no domainname.
The mail is accepted for delivery but for localhost instead of the
correct mail server from the list and finally forward to postmaster
without notification for the sender.
postfix log :
postfix/local[5830]: 7C1AC3FC098: to=<MAILER-DAEMON@localhost>,
orig_to=<@localhost>, relay=local, delay=0, status=sent (forwarded as
AF2E93FC097)
