Kronolith has already read-only support for calendar subscriptions.
Kronolith 2.2 will even have complete WebDAV support.

Although Horde has an extensive XML-RPC layer, for a current
implementation of a groupware suite, a comparison between MS
Sharepoint and Horde was organised. Horde was able to compete on most
aspects, however, the main sticking point was that Sharepoint would
integrate (albeit read only) with outlook calendar. The project hasn't
formally started yet, and is for a reasonably small team, so I might
be allowed to re-offer Horde if I can prove that horde offers the same
service.

I am willing to offer a $20 bounty for the completion of this.
