This is simply how the left frame works in Horde 3.x. Horde 4.x will likely feature a more dynamically updateable solution, and you can get this functionality now in DIMP if you need it.

After adding a new mail folder in IMP, the left menu pane does not refresh automatically, causing an inconsistency between the actual folders and the folders displayed in the menu. Suggested fix: javascript-based reload of menu frame or POST to top level frame after add/remove/rename folder.
