We are using Horde 3.2 and IMP 4.2 (HEAD) with Courier-IMAP and
Qmail-Sendmail.
Issue:
When forwarding messages with attachments, non-IMP email clients are
unable to parse the multipart message due to extraneous carriage
returns ("\r") in the RFC822 message headers, particularly for
messages originating from the Wintel platform. We have recreated the
problem in both Thunderbird and Outlook clients.
Resolution:
The problem can be corrected by removing the extra carriage returns
from the forwarded message. The attached patch has resolved the issue
in our environment. We would appreciate your review and feedback.
Thanks for your consideration.
