width of 80 is not too much when I write HTML message.

How about height? Is there any user setting to change it?

No idea what your talking about, the message field has a width of 80
which is the recommended line length for emails. With the IMP version
that you have you can even set this width to a custom value in your
user settings.

Did anybode compared area screen space for the text when you read and
when you write a message? Big difference. When you read - your screen
is yours, when you write - key hole. It would be big improvement if
redesign layout of screen for

writing a message to give more space for text.
