I guess I am not seeing the issue. The quoted part of that message renders with an outer div tag and an inner font tag. The outer div tag is used for collapsing/expanding; the font tag is used for text formatting. There doesn't seem to be any problem with mixing the two. There's a extra close div before the closing font tag. Let's try this one more time... Try what I just committed.

That seems to break other messages. Take a look at the recent messages of the "whups very slow after cvs update" thread for example.

Text_Filter/Filter/highlightquotes.php is not producing the closing </font> tag for an email message with quoted text. I can attach a sample message if needed. clevel is not < qlevel at the end of the quoted text so the block is never closed.
