von 1980 kam ich nicht mehr weit.
Ich habe fast alle Änderungen übernommen, vielen Dank.
New Attachment: de_DE.po[1].diff
The translation for "Your Reply-to: address: <em>(optional)</em>"
was so bad that several of my useres have filled in wrong values
for thisitem in their preferences. I had to mend that translation, and to
add an entry in may Webmail FAQ list.
Again, I include a patch for imp/po/de_DE.po. The patch is cumulative: it
contains both my original suggestions and this one.

<http://www.ids-mannheim.de/reform/regeln2006.pdf>, § 40.
"Email" is that white coating on my washing machine ;-)
- Correct spelling: "E-Mail-Server", "E-Mail-Adresse", ..., cf. § 44.
- Like German "Post", "E-Mail" means either the service , or the whole
traffic or
data, as in "Die E-Mail funktioniert nicht" or "Die ganze E-Mail
muss aus dem
Backup restauriert werden", respectively.
- One single message is "eine Nachricht" or "eine E-Mail-Nachricht";
"E-Mail" is not an apt translation for it. (As in the paper analogue,
"ein Brief" (a letter) is never "eine Post" ("a mail"). Hence, there is no
plural form of "E-Mail" (strictly speaking, a plural exists only in sloppy
language).
I have included my suggestion for mending these, and a few of stilistic,
issues, as a patch file (original version: de_DE.po.dist; corrected version:
de_DE.po.neutral).
