Windows XP SP2 w/Internet Explorer 6.0 SP2 with all current hotfixes
Apache 2.0.52-22 on RHEL 4
On a message with attachments, click on Download attachment, select
Open. If horde is running on an https server, the attachment will not
open and the application will report the file is not in the internet
Explorer Temporary Internet files. After checking IE's cache, I
confirmed the file is not in the cache. If the same procedure is
repeated on the same server using http and not https, the attachment
is opens correctly with IE.
Other notes:
1. Attachment type does not matter - tested file types .doc, .xls,
.ppt, .pub, .jpg, .gif, .pdf
2. Placing the attachment in a folder on the server and accessing via
https://server/testfiles/test.pdf allows IE to open or save the file.
3. on https server, selecting save will allow the file to be saved
then opened.
4. on https server, clicking "View" on a pdf attachment will cause IE
to display a file download box with the options to save or cancel
5. on http server, clicking "View" on pdf attachment will cause IE to
open the pdf in a new window
6. on http server, both open and save work correctly
7. Firefox handles attachments correctly with both http and https
All tests were done using the same web server and same workstation.
