The PHP update, you didn't compile PHP with ctype support.

I'm running horde on a gentoo box about two years and until my last cvs update the weather.com portal block worked like a charm. Since this update I'm getting the following error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function ctype_digit() in /usr/share/php/Services/Weather/Weatherdotcom.php on line 150 I also updated my PHP4 package to PHP5 and I'm a bit confused what update is responsible for this error.
