At some point if we want this feature it'll be just as much work to do
it from scratch, given the issues in this implementation (undefined
handling of tasks without due dates, performing unnecessary
calculation if setting is off, etc).

Okay, it would be possible to load Date.php only for the portal Block.
Or some other solution.

But for the other things i think i am stuck.

So its up to you wether you want to use some of my code or not.

This breaks BC and loading Date.php with every request if you only
need it in the portal block doesn't make sense.

- Tweaked framework/Date/Date.php

- load in nag/lib/base.php

- use functionality in nag/lib/Block/summary.php

The default value should be false, the indenting is a bit off in some
places, and you should use Horde_Date instead of Date_Calc.

This Patch adds the possibility to add a period like "one week" or
"two month".

So you will only see tasks in this period (or all).
