I notice that on bugs.horde.org, when you do an issue search, the
"Summary" link in the search results also has a title attribute that
appears on mouseover. In my Firefox, it pops up with a square
background. The IMP message list title tags popup in a rounded
background. So there must be some style influence on the background.
I'll look into this further and try to figure out what classes
influence the title background and if it can be manipulated.
However, I find no bugs w/o spaces in the summary, so this may be a deadend.
appears in Firefox and is independent of theme. I'll poke around some
more, but have lost hope of solving it.

<A> tag's title parameter is displayed in a pop-up bubble. This
bubble automatically sizes itself to hold the content. If there are
no spaces and the content is longer than the default size, the content
overflows the bubble. For example, the following subject will
overflow its bubble:
RotoWire_Player_Update_-_Matt_Lawton
Even though longer subjects with spaces will get a larger bubble. For
example:
Pick of the Week - John Mauldin's Outside the Box E-Letter
