People will probably always find a way to shoot themselves in their 
feet, but I added an extra check anyway.

I don't know whether this would be considered a bug or "working as 
designed" ... users who enter a single "@" sign in their blacklist 
(for whatever reason...) will have all their inbox messages erased. Is 
it worth putting a check in the code for this case?
