The from_addr identity prefs can also be set in Horde's preferences.

What information do I have available in kronolith and do hooks always
fetch the information from external source. I was thinking that if
hooks are able to access eg. horde's login information then I could
use that to construct the correct email address.

If you lock from_addr, you need to provide a hook to generate the
email. The information we use in IMP isn't available in Kronolith.

If users are not able to change their from_addr in preferences then
they won't be able to sent any notifications within the kronolith.

Simple fix would be to use the same kind of logic to form the
from_addr as is used within imp when from_addr preference is locked.
