CVS HEAD. It's now working correctly. I'm not sure what happened; I
updated twice before filing the bug...maybe I missed a file that
needed to be updated, or maybe my framework installation didn't take.
I don't know, but at any rate, sorry for the noise and wasted time.

message list is displayed, don't do anything, but notice that, when
the sidebar refreshes, the folder (in the sidebar) will show no unread
messages. Click any unread message in that folder. Leave it displayed
and, when the sidebar refreshes, the correct number of unread messages
for that folder will be displayed.
The same happens with the message counts in the folder list.
No errors are logged in the javascript console or the horde log.
