Sorry, I've executed an hexdump on text file and then i've discovered that people have created used a <CR> and not a <LF>. Sorry again, next time I will be more careful. By Stefano

I compose an e-mail with IMP and I attach a text file. When the receiver open the attachment from IMP, Outlook or Outlook Express the file has lost all newlines

From what, that message text or the attachment? And using IMP as the writer or reader?

when i compose a new e-mail and i attach a text file all the new lines character are removed
