a nasty habit of using all available memory when you spell check a
HTML document, until the kernel kills the process. 0.60.X, which I
upgraded to from source, doesn't have that problem and Jan noted that
he's using 0.50.3 with Debian with out a problem. Hence, 0.50 would
seem to be a recommended version.
