And, FWIW, you can't "subscribe" or "unsubscribe" from the INBOX.  It 
is always subscribed and viewed no matter what.

After selecting  "IMP -> Options -> Server and folder Information -> 
Use IMAP folder subscriptions? " the specific icons of the Inbox (and 
other) folders disappeared and after clicking on the Inbox folder 
afterwards, showed/hid its subfolders, but didn't opended the 
Inbox-folder in the right panel. I suppose that after this change 
settings, the behaviour changes from isContainer($inbox-folder)==true 
to isContainer($inbox-folder)==false. A
