Actually we do allow "editing" of remote events, but only as templates (you can save them to a new event in a local calendar). The errors have been fixed in CVS.

in my opinion (don't know much about horde), the problem is here: Line 1727 in kronolith/lib/Driver.php if (!is_a($share, 'PEAR_Error') && $share->hasPermission(Auth::getAuth(), PERMS_DELETE, $this->getCreatorId())) {

Events from a remote calendar should not have a delete/edit button. The Edit button gives an error message anyway: Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/horde/html/kronolith/editevent.php on line 21
