In my current installation if you send a message to 
"somebody@.somedomain.com" (note the dot before somedomain.com" IMP 
accept the message!

The message whill never will be delivered but user will never get an 
undelivery message, the mail will be definitively lost!

In the 3.x version i get the error but it's strange.

Undelivery notification is sent byt the illegal address is "@" and not 
"somebody@.somedomain.com" so the user thinks it's a fake DSN and 
thinks it's mail is delivered!
