This does nothing that you couldn't accomplish by putting this function directly into servers.php.

In order to make the selection of the preferred server dinamically, a hook function was needed and this "patch" adds it. The application of the function is, that it is possible to set up automatically the preferred server, depending on some factors, like the IP of the client. If the hook function is enabled, the preferred fields of imp/config/servers.php is ignored.
