Yes, it is already in IMP 4.

IMP has an option to download a folder to a file on your local PC. I believe it could be interesting to have an option to, afterwards, upload this file back to the IMAP server, since this way users could backup their files (taking things away from the main servers) and then upload them if they ever need them again. Sorry if this is already there in IMP 4, I do not know it yet.
