Fixed in IMP 4.0.1 for multipart/signed messages. You are out of luck if you have a application/pkcs7-mime signed-type message though as IMP_SMIME is necessary to extract the data out of the message.

If you disable S/MIME support and then try to view a message that has been signed with S/MIME, you cannot display that message's body, even though the body is unecrypted. The only way to view it is to enable S/MIME support.
