The sidebar is updated regularly too. If not, you've turned it off.
Yes. However the same happens when clicking Logout icon on top menu also.
And this is expected and precisely what the logout tokens are designed 
to prevent.

If portal screen is left to refresh automatically after about 30 
minutes the logout link on the sidebar hits CSR protection. Steps to 
reproduce:

1. Login to Horde.
2. Leave Portal for more than 30 minutes, ensure that session would 
not timeout by configuring IMP summary in Portal to refresh every 5 
minutes or so.
3. Click Logout.
