I didn't mean to use this instead of the js solution, but as the
storage for the default text, instead of using the title attribute.
See the search field in Kronolith.
OK - I misunderstood your previous comment.

But what does using 'default' give us over using 'title'?  For submit
purposes it is irrelevant since FormGhost already handles that.  Also,
the kronolith input is broken if you search for "Search": type in
"Search", unfocus, then refocus and the search field is incorrectly
cleared.

Any reason why you don't use the HTML5 "default" attribute instead
of "title", which has exactly this purpose?
It doesn't allow you to define the CSS used for the ghosted text.  It
doesn't fire events when the ghosted text is added/removed.  And it
isn't compatible with most of the browsers we currently support.

Hello

I'm testing new beta of imp. In dimp interface, the search field not
working in Firefox 4 (RC1 and beta 10).
In internet explorer work whitout problem, but in Firefox not.
When you click in the rectangle of search, not appear the cursor, and
you don't cant write inside.
