Yes, this solved the issue. The problem was that the array 
"display_external_cals" was not yet specified in our prefs.php from 
kronolith, so the information which task lists were selected was not 
stored anywhere.

There was an error in early versions of the upgrade script, recreate 
your prefs.php files from the prefs.php.dist versions.

Sorry for the late answer. We did an upgrade from version 1.0 of the 
horde webmail edition. For the transition to version 1.2, we made use 
of the provided update scripts to migrate the database tables.
Did you upgrade from an earlier version or install this version from scratch?

Hi,

In the latest version 1.2 of Horde Webmail, the "show tasks" feature 
of kronolith seems to be broken. The settings which task lists to show 
are not stored anywhere, and task view is disabled whenever I do 
anything that refreshes the calendar view, like switching to next 
month's view.

The tasks are shown again (for the current calendar view) if I trigger 
the corresponding "show tasks" button again, even if this should 
disable the task list!
