The last commit doesn't fix the guest issue, but Duck, can you verify 
that it fixes your username issue?

When expanding or collapsing a widget, the change immediately reverts
back when viewing as guest.
And does not work if the gallery owner name contains characters like @ 
(ex. duck@obala.net) or ends with underscore or minus - whatever is 
not an JS allowed variable name. I think we should create unique 
identifiers or hash the user names.
