Please ask support questions on the mailing list. But no, there is not
a single click or key that could purge the complete INBOX with at
least a follow up click or a confirmation question. But we don't give
guarantees for unsupported patches. and 4.1.x is not supported anymore
either.

Recently a user of our mail system purged the whole Inbox

(more than 20.000 messages) in just one click.

We cannot figure how it appened.

I know that the user uses trash and that uses the empty trash folder
link (in trash folder view)

I know that the user has virtual inbox enabled.

The bug [#5202] match the case very well, but i'm using horde 3.1.7
and imp 4.1.6!

My apache logs say:

[20/Sep/2008:05:17:23 +0200] "POST
/newhorde/imp/compose.php?uniq=11uciz2y50e8 HTTP/1.1" 200 73

[20/Sep/2008:05:17:24 +0200] "GET
/newhorde/imp/mailbox.php?actionID=empty_mailbox HTTP/1.1" 200 7010

and my cyrus logs:

Sep 20 05:17:24 imap[7175]: open: user gdmodiano opened INBOX

Sep 20 05:19:08 imap[7175]: Expunged 25421 messages from user.username

User sent an email just before the whole inbox disappeared, the mail
is uncomplete because it was sent thanks to some casual shortcut...

It is possible that the user made some other shortcut that deleted
inbox? If yes, which is this shortcut?

Note that my imp is stock 4.1.6 + CyrusHierarchical patch
(http://wiki.horde.org/CyrusHierarchical)

Thanks

G.Ravasio
