For the record, this is a duplicate of ~~Bug: 6978~~ I knew I have seen this already. Duplicate of ~~ticket #6989~~. Please add more information there how to reproduce it. I can't.

If $conf['server']['change_server'] is set, then you must have something entered in each field under the 'credentials' pref setting. It doesn't matter _what_ you put there, but it cannot be empty. Leaving it empty results in a redirect loop when attempting to login to IMP.
