I changed the sort order default in List.php, but am rejected the other changes based on my comments below.

- Change default sorting attribute to id as is more logical and natural to see the last uploaded galleries when you enter Ansel I disagree. You should sort by Date if that is what you want, and this should be already possible by choosing 'Date' as the sort criteria on the List view. - Add the change permission button to the gallery editing form This was explicitly removed from that page by Jan some time ago.
